Support When You Need It

Welcome. I'm Kelly, and I am a counsellor with qualifications in counselling and psychotherapy. I specialise in relationships, couples, individuals and young people. I work with anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship issues and more.

Hi, I'm Kelly! Experience has shown me that the first step into getting counselling is the hardest. It can be an overwhelming and daunting journey, but it is so worthwhile. As a counsellor, I want to help to ease all these worries and make the process as smooth, positive and calm as possible as it's never too late to start your journey. It's paramount to me that you are confident that you are coming to a safe space. Whilst I would describe my style as non-judgmental, empathetic and welcoming, each client is different. So don't hesitate to contact me, and together we can work out what is best for you as an individual.

I am a qualified counsellor. I trained with Leeds City College, The Relate Institute and Place2Be. I work with individuals, couples and young people. I have experience working with anxiety, communication problems, self-confidence, depression, relationship problems, self-harm and sexual abuse, among a host of other issues, and I have worked with clients of different races, religions and sexual orientations.

I am currently training with Yorkshire Counselling Training to qualify as a clinical supervisor.

I am an individual member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychology (BACP).

How To Get in Touch & What Happens Next

Once you've made contact via the contact me section of my site or email address, we can book an initial assessment. This appointment will allow you to ensure you feel comfortable with me as your counsellor and to ask any questions you may have. Also, it will allow me to identify your reasons for getting in touch and to lay out a plan that works for you and your specific needs.

I am flexible with the number of sessions (long or short term) and frequency of sessions as I believe it depends on clients' individual needs.

I provide a range of different types of therapy to cater to many different needs and requirements. All of the following are suitable for all ages and communities. I use multiple approaches such as psychodynamic, systemic and play therapy.

"Over the course of nine months Kelly helped me work through my mental health difficulties via weekly virtual counselling sessions. Starting with my childhood and working through everything from my career to my personal relationships, she helped me to better understand myself and the people around me, equipping me with coping mechanisms to help me face everyday challenges. Her friendly, no-nonsense approach helped me tackle my anxiety and build confidence." - anonymous

"I seeked relationship counselling during a very difficult time, where I felt myself falling into a black hole. I had completely lost my confidence and I was no longer happy in myself or in life.
When I had my sessions with Kelly, she always made me feel at ease. It was always easy for me to open up about the issues I were facing and it was a relief to get these off my chest to someone who I didn't feel was judging me. Week in week out I felt myself slowly getting back to the girl I once was and that was because of the help I received from Kelly.
Kelly guided me through an extremely difficult time in my life and I will forever be grateful for the confidence she brought back in me." - Anonymous
